dont know mutch about stieglitz... but i know andrade. have seen the fight against kessler several times. So i will give it to andrade...he´s a great fighter, with an iron chin.and he wil be to tough for steglitz. Andrade can REALLY take a punch,so i think andrade win this one.
I've never seen Steiglitz fight, but Andrade's defence is shocking, and his punches are inaccurate and sloppy. If Steiglitz can absorb pressure and has a somewhat decent chin he should be able to outbox the clumsy Andrade.
I've been thinking about Andrade's position, assuming that the amount of punishment he takes doesn't burn him out heavily in a year in a half's time, I think he can wear down and beat just about anybody not named Mikkel Kessler in the division. I also think Kessler took a piece of him out that's not going to come back. He had quicker feet and hands against Kessler and some other opponents pre-Kessler than he did vs. Mack. The guy's an effective fighter, despite looking like **** on tape, I don't think Stieglitz or Bute will effectively lay the same amount of punches that Mack laid on him because it's not their style. If he stops Stieglitz and Bute, that's going to make Mikkel look really good for winning every single round and getting tagged at a mere 18% ratio.:yep
Andrade reminds me of Antuofermo somewhat, but a level below. They look so sloppy and unskilled on film and they get hit a lot. But because of their toughness, pressure, and chins, they make life hard for guys. Andrade is a better infighter than he's given credit for. I could see Mundine beating Andrade, but he'd have to fight for it.
Andrade also has freakish reach and deceptive timing, he was able to land timed rights on a lot of his opponents and they looked very sloppy, but they hit their mark spot on, several instances vs. Kessler, though it also could have been Kessler opening up on him so much and giving openings. He tore Mack up after some bad early rounds and I feel that Mack is pretty decent as a fighter, right on par with the Inkin's of the world.
Well spoken! Andrade is a decent fighter, but some people here seem to believe that Andrade is a future long reigning champ or someone like this. The Mexican is a very predictable and one-dimensional fighter who -adminttingly-can take a punch and who has pop in his fists. However,Stieglitz is no bum and has the upper hand in natural skills IMO. Stieglitz should be able to outbox the slower Mexican. The Russian's weak spot is his leaky defence.Wont be surprise to learn that Andrade has knocked him out,but I will be very surprised to learn that Andrade has gone the full route with Stieglitz and won a point decision.
Mundine would slaughter Andrade with sidestepping and countering. I honestly still feel like Andrade is one of the most overrated fighters here, because he has a decent punch and a good chin; however, he doesn't even have a modicum of actual boxing ability. He's like a machine, and if you're disciplined, have a good game plan, and have a fair enough chin and stamina to keep moving all fight while taking punches to the chin, then you can beat him. Yusef Mack was able to execute ont hat for 6 rounds before he ran out of steam. If a fighter of Yusef Mack's level can outbox Andrade for 6, then just about any championship level fighter should be able to beat him if they keep up the same game plan for 12. I don't know enough about Stieglitz to say whether he could beat Andrade. He got KOed in 3 by Berrio, which doesn't bode well, and if he tires out late in fights, he stands little chance.
