"Barkers Hip went in 1st round". Look at the 1st minute of the 2nd round Barker was moving well boxing well. Was ok till 2nd knockdown when he looked at corner & told them it had gone. Hate these shitty excuses every time boxer loses.
my thoughts exactly like Darren but would rather see Murray in there with sturm next time much more deserving
IMO it just had came in injured written all over it, biggest payday of his life by probably 5 times at least and already cited he's only in it for the money now. Don't take much enjoyment out of claiming that though because Sturm started on fire and looked a beast in there.
The tweak in his hip that team barker are saying happened in the 1st round actually happened in the 2nd round (1st knockdown) you can see hes tapping it and in a abit of distress but his hip is totally gone after the 2nd Knockdown. So yeah there chatting **** BUT allow him hes such a lovely guy
"hip"..."back of the head"...excuses escuses etc etc... the problem was....STURM'S FIST!!!!! lol...blame strum's fists!!! that was the reason of the loss! hate sky & carl froch bullshitting... respect Glen Mcrory tho!
His trainer said in the interview after the fight that it happened at the first KD. You can see him touching his hip when he tried to get up and notifying his corner. It clearly didn't happen in the 1st.
I think you're probably right to be honest - far too lucrative to pull out. Let's not get it twisted here: a two round blowout flattered Sturm and if there was a difference in class it is only marginally so, and certainly the spirited fashion in which Barker was dispatched was clearly exaggerated by some underlying issue.
Sorry, are you cognizant of Barker's injuries much better than he is? If he says it flared up in round one I'm inclined to believe him, rather than you; unless you want to question his integrity? Sims said that Barker stated his hip didn't feel right at the end of the first round and that it was causing a bit of grief (might be why he wasn't moving that well); after the knockdown it went completely. I doubt he was 100% to be honest. I'm sure we'll get all the facts in due course.
Totally agree with everything you said Winston. I'm actually sickened by the hate Barker's getting when he was clearly injured, [eople shitting on him for no reason other than he's a Brit I guess. If he was fit it would have been a close fight. Muzza is an absolute **** BTW.
The fluke jaw punch did land in round 2....and the Mexican-yank still failed to earn the win, pathetic! :rofl
