Take a look at a lot of other stuff too, like vitamin D levels and inflammation markers. I had some random stuff wrong with me and fixing it caused me to really feel stronger about six months later.
Just wondering, why do you think it's your test levels that are an issue? You had issue with that in the past? I could give you a hefty list of things that could cause you to feel "clapped out." Also, was it you saying you use chains and bands? Most likely a waste of your time and energy unless you're suffering from specific weaknesses.
Yeah I'm the band n chains guy...don't use them all the time..just might throw one in as a variation if I'm getting stale..not don't chains for a few months now ...and no particular reason just want to make sure .my strengths massively tanked...I've always been overtired ect I've been lifting 20 odd years on and off and everything just feels like a grind now.....it is probably just fatigue, having a kid , getting a bit older etc but I'd like to know for sure that physiologically I'm firing on all cylinders so to speak
Was just wondering. Bands and chains are usually used by power lifters for specific weaknesses. Bands for explosive movement off the chest, so if your bench fails at the bottom. Chains are usually for training lockout, so as you said, far heavier at the top. They both also require explosive movement throughout the lift, since the resistance increases the higher the bar goes. They're more of a fixing/strengthening exercise than something you'd randomly do for the sake of it. Although doing them now and against won't exactly be bad for you. Mate, I'm 35 and don't have kids. I'm still knackered. Diet, sleep and stress levels are probably mostly to blame. Diet gets even more important the older you get, I can speak from experience. Lol.
Im 37 next month lol Mrs recommended I do it to be honest.shes a nurse and even she's noticed I've been like a zombie for months now.. n she said testosterone starts dropping after 30 And I know what the bands and chains are for haha I used them more regularly before lockdown when I was having issues with different movements ... my military press is **** from the go but can lock it out easy after a point...struggled with lockout on bench. Also used the band's with deadlifts when my back started giving out but I hate deadlifting light weight so it seemed like a good compromise. Like I said nowadays the chains pretty much stay in the car unless I'm having abit of a can't be arsed day and want to challenge myself.... Bands stay in my gym bag incase I want to do a variation of face pulls or banded triceps pulldowns etc..good to keep some tools to hand
