Decebel, after Saturday night I fully believe that Hopkins would beat Dawson.

Calzaghe only started winning rounds after he adjusted and adapted at around round 4. Dawson hasnt the adapatability to cope with Hopkins as seen in the Johnson fight.

Braehmer has no chin/stamina/work ethic, he should definately not be on that list. He had 1 fight at light heavy and looked awful.
Johnson would beat Erdei and his fight with Dawson was really close.
    Woods is way too high

Dawson has faster footwork and would move in and out faster too. He could keep the fight on the outside more easily than Calzaghe. Calzaghe did **** all inside, so it wouldn't matter if Dawson does nothing on the inside. Dawson would also work harder than Calzaghe did. He'd throw more punches. He'd do better than Calzaghe against the Hopkins from last night. (Yeah, I am aware that Hopkins would fight differently against Dawson, but his stamina and workrate wouldn't improve).

I am not sure how good Erdei is these days. Haven't seen Braehmer - you might be right...I only put Woods there because he was on my original list, you're right...He's no longer top 10.

The best fighter today at 175 is Dawson but he has several big *****s in his make up physically: chin is suspect and he doesnt seem very durable or sturdy. Throws nice combos good hand and foot speed nice boxer, tall....but seems weak to me.

Calzaghe beat Hopkins I have not yet seen the damn fight but well the guy isnt all that either and seems to just be in the right place at the right time and has manuevered his way to where he is. Honestly a very good boxer but thats it. Throws many flurries, stamina is the big asset allowing him to throw lots, But not a speedster in the classic sense of say a Zab Judah.

Dawson is better than Calzag and would beat him and should be the #1 at lightheavy and why in the world Joe C chooses not to fight him is beyond me. I guess fighting a shot Jones at home is more money. Oh well, the guy is now home free to fight what is now the shell of Roy Jones. Thank God Clinton Woods didnt win or thats what he would be fighting, I no longer give a ****.

He did what he had to do and beat BHOP now he will ride into the sunset never having fought anyone but BHOP at 43 and though I have not seen the
fight many say BHOP deserved the fight. Hardcore fans that I know who have seen the greats say Joe C is not in the all time elite class...he is very good. My feelings on all this I have to view the fight first., but if Joe C rides out fighting Jones instead o Pavlik or Dawson it will confirm to me that this guy was never really an all-time elite level fighter.
