So, according to Artur Beterbiev he wasn't fighting for a year because his promoter didn't give him him fights. It wasn't because of his hand injury. He had an operation on hand back in 2015 and didn't have the problems with his hand ever since. Beterbiev started to train one week after surgery on his hand.

It would be nice if someone like Bob Arum signed Beterbiev.

According to Beterbiev, he has several promotional offers. But he can't sign contract due to court.

I gave you some misunderstood info in my previous post. So according to his recent interview he can have fight everywhere he wants to and can negotiate with anywhere he wants to but GYM can interact with him if fight goes to purse bids and if GYM wins the purse bid. Beterbiev has negotiated a fight which will be held in Grozny. He will likely fight on Ramzan Kadyrov promoted show, he is great friends with him. Date and opponent are not known at this point.

Two-time contender for the title of world heavyweight heavyweight champion Andrzej Fonfara (29-5, 17 KO) is preparing for a debut in the junior heavyweight category, but perhaps also the promoter's changes. Przemek Garczarczyk, a journalist at Fightnews.com, informed about this possibility in his videoblog.

    - Andrzej Fonfara's promotion contract ends in a dozen or so days. Marek Fonfara, who deals with the interests of his brother, said that the interest of the promoters is considerable - Garczarczyk betrayed.

    - All this will be settled soon - said a Polish journalist living in US

Fonfara last boxed in June last year, losing to Adonis Stevenson. The date of the next fight of the "Polish Prince" has not yet been officially confirmed.

Light heavyweight has a LOT of talent right now. A lot of great matchups could be made in this division if only the promoters, managers and boxers were willing.

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has approved the nomination of 32-year-old Briton Callum Johnson (No. 8 in the April IBF ranking) as a contender for IBF light heavyweight champion Arthur Beterbiyev. This was reported on Twitter by the promoter of British boxer Eddie Hearn.

Recall that previously it was assumed that the rival Beterbiev in the championship battle will be another Briton - 26-year-old Anthony Yard (№6 IBF). However, the day before he refused to fight, saying that he still has too little experience for fighting for world titles.

P.S. Yarde would be steamrolled by Beterbiev. Johnson/Beterbiev is not a bad fight, even competitive in some way.
