What light-hitting HW's do you think could potentially beat "Smokin" Joe Frazier?

    None.
Ali didn't pack a great punch but he was not a pillow fisted fighter.

If I recall, there are several fighters who said that Ali's ability to find leverage in his punches surprised them.

None. If you can't keep him off you, you're toast.

Prime-for-prime, it's stop him or lose IMO.

Does anyone think any of these guys could pull it off:

    - Tunney
    - Conn
    - Charles (wasn't a huge puncher at HW)
    - (Prime) Machen
    - Young
    - Tate
    - Tubbs
    - Williams
    - Damiani
    - Byrd
    - Pulev
    - Fury
    - Parker
    - Usyk

Off the top of my head I wouldn’t call Machen and Fury light punchers.

I think Fury and maybe Machen can go the distance.

    Machen might make it.

I don't know about Fury, he has an average punch for a heavyweight imo. I don't think he could keep FOTC Frazier off him. And if he goes down, Frazier is quite finisher..

Depends on how he fights. If he fights like he did against Ingo, he's getting brutally stopped. If he fights like he did against Liston, survive not win then he may very well make the distance. He nearly did so as a shell of himself (albeit against a green Frazier).

Fair point but he's also very skilled and has a huge size advantage. I think he'd clinch **** Frazier to death. Not saying he wins but it's very possible he makes the distance.

I also think Fury had some nice pop to his punches when he actually sat down on them as seen against Wilder and Whyte.
