I remember Pompey, and you're right. It's almost as though he didn't know how to clench a fist properly, or forgot the hand wrappings before the gloves were slipped on. The guy was wrestling material for anybody who could sell his blows properly. Come to think of it, amazing he wasn't the beneficiary of more dives (a la Billy Fox or Lamar Clark), as good as his punches looked.

Hey 'old' buddy!:hi: Instead of a cursory, rudimentary exchange of greetings and pleasantries, please forgive my indulgence by offering something further in the way of a more detailed (probably boring) personal answer to how I'm doing at the moment.

Recovering from some comprehensive "elective" surgery just now, and still in something of a post anesthesia fugue two and a half weeks later. Trying to use this forum to gauge my mental functioning and recovery progress, but have coughed up some rather bizarre "melt down" posts in the process. (Lufcrazy could tell you about some of this.) Fortunately, I have access to competent surgical services, as the operation I underwent is just Phase One of a two part invasive process. (The Riley-Powell Stanford Protocol for curing severe sleep apnea, to be specific. After half a dozen years, I've had quite enough of treating only the symptoms of this life long condition with ineffectual contrivances like a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure device that does nothing except infect me with bronchitis and torture me by mummifying my head in **** straps which cook my skull and make it impossible to sleep comfortably. I call it CQUACK.)

Been noticing that many threads you created last decade have been revived, given new life by more recently arrived members adding their input. Good to know you've stuck around to add to those quality contributions.

Returned here to toss another name into the mix, my fellow Syrian, Mustafa Hamsho. In a recent contribution, I reiterated that he never stopped a world class opponent, but he was certainly seen teeing off with that left of his from time to time. Against Minter, he flipped out a succession of four eye catching left crosses from long range at a key moment, and he responded to the best shot Czyz pitched in their bout with his own hardest blow of the match. Unlike Antuofermo, Mustafa could be seen swinging for the fences from time to time, but stamina, physical strength and toughness were the keys to his success, definitely not punching power.

I wouldn't call Harada or Chang light punchers, they both hit solidly imo though i suppose considering their power to aggression ratio they are worth a mention.

Maussa was pretty bad, couldn't even use a speed ball properly. Didn't Victor Ortiz take Maussa out in 1 or was that Maidana?
