A few months of training to sprawl is not going to allow you to defend the takedown against a former olympic wrestling alternate.

 

I give Toney a fair chance at winning, but it's hard to say since this will be his first try at MMA. Contrary to many people's belief here, Couture and his 'sissy' elbows can most certainly be James Toney's demise, just as much as his wrestling most likely will be..

p.s. I am a boxing fan first and foremost, always will be, but I won't pretend that these MMA guys aren't 'real fighters'. That's plain ignorant.... and easy to say from a keyboard, mind you. If you ask me, a fighter that can adjust to any situation in combat is moreso a 'complete' fighter than someone who's only been trained in standup. Granted, that pugilist is more complete a fighter when it comes to trading blows and **** which ultimately makes him a lot more dangerous especially early in a fight, but he can and will be quite vunerable to someone with ZERO standup skills who can take you down and punish you with any amount of other technique...and that's not even what we have going on this weekend either. Randy Couture is a real deal champion in his sport. He can bang and best of all, he can control every aspect of this fight when not standing and trading... Don't hate cause he's trained and mastered more than one specific discepline friend..
