Look at all the poor champions at that weight level in the past 10 years

    Kendall Holt - ****
    Lamont Peterson - ****
Amir Khan - Glass jawed ****
    Gavin Rees - ****
    Zab Judah - Bum
Paulie Malignaggi - Feather fisted, c-level boxer at best.
    Lovemore N'Dou - Clown
Juan Urango - C-Level boxer at best
    Kotelnik - Borderline journeyman
    Maidana - Borderline journeyman
    Junior Witter - LOL

It's a weak division, fact. Yet for some reason, 'Muricans, hype it up. Probably because it's about the ONLY division they dominate in... and that's only really because the rest of the competition is **** poor. Any division where Gavin Rees and Lovemore N'Dou can hold world titles is a weak division. End of story.

Half of them aren't at 140 anymore... or don't even box anymore.

    147 isn't any better...but they are/were both competitive divisions.

140 was good back in 2010 before everyone left now it's **** left with PEDerson. Broner should go and try to take over it lol while the let down generation who are now all in 147 fail to try and beat Mayweather & Pacquiao (Bradley managed to trump Marquez however but Marquez is rather reluctant to fight other 'younger' fighters.)

    GTFO.

Holt put Bradley out on his ass and he's not even the best on the list.

:rofl You should find another sport, because boxing isn't for you. 147 is widely considered one of, if not the best division in the sport right now.

I think the 140 division has been overrated for some time now (much to the benefit of the stars at welterweight), but I don't think it's the worst in boxing. I'd at least take the 140 fighters over the guys at 130 right now.

well, look at the champions at 140
    WBO- Provo
    WBA and WBC- D Garcia
    IBF- PEDerson

plus you have Lucas, Herrera (gives anyone a tough fight), Vargas or even Alvarado, who is always in good fights

it's not an ATG division, but to call it **** is just ignorant, it's much better than let's say 168, where you have Ward, Froch, and nobody else even coming close to them

People were getting excited over it 3-4 years ago. I always felt it was overrated in talent, but still an interesting division. The fighters were in large part on the same level, so we got some interesting and competitive fights.

I can't believe anyone thinks it's weak, when you compare it to other divisions it's at least the third best.

True_Hero, what would you say are the 3 strongest weight divisions?

Divisions with a lot of Americans in the top 10 always get overrated
    It's been overhyped massively
Most of the weakest world champs in recent years have been from 140.. Rees, Witter, Khan, Mbaye, Peterson, Holt.. and the worst one a totally **** fat past his best Erik Morales. If those were in any other division they wouldn't have been world champions.

Even the so called number 1 in the division right now Garcia looks to be average.

it's not ignorant it is **** mate!!you are the one being ignorant I bet you only watch HBO and showtime and believe what the biased americans tell you. the fact you think Peterson is actually a good champion says it all!! :rofl:rofl:roflPeterson is a paper champ he is crap. 168 is way better quite clearly. Ward, Froch,Kessler, Groves, Abraham, Steiglitz, Chavez Jnr, Degale, Bika

where did i say PEDerson was good? i said it isn't an ATG division by any means, but it is competetive and lot's of good fights could be made

168 is all Ward, who schools everyone, Froch and his grudge rematch with Groves and that's it, Abraham? he's going downhill, Stieglitz is crap, so is Chavez JR, who's only relevant because of his papa's name and huge Mexican following
