This has been a notoriously weak division in all the years I've been watching boxing.

Yet nobody was claiming it was weak before Taylors win yet suddenly to his insecure bitter haters because he won on saturday don't wanna congratule him on his excellent achievement and pefirmance. they are playing the its weak card

Weak champs at Light Welterweight in recent times
Cesar Cuenca, Gavin Rees, Amir Khan, Julius Indogno, Devon Alexander, Past it retired fat Erik Morales, past it Ricky Burns, Junior Witter, Souleymayne Mbaye, Lovemore N'dou, Jessie Vargas,, Lamont Peterson, Andreas Kotelnik, Paulie Malignaggi, Juan Urango, Chris Algieri, Kendall Holt, Mike Alvarado, Danny Garcia, Ricardo Torres, Carlos Maussa, Vivien Harris, Adrien Broner, Khabib Allakhverdiev, past it Zab Judah, Eduard Troyanovksy, Maurice Hooker

^ Most of those boxers wouldn't have been a world champion in most other divisions!

    Right now theres

Josh Taylor, Regis Prograis, Jose Ramirez, Jose Zepeda, Viktor Postol, Ivan Baranchyk - a good top 6, and then prospects coming up like, Shohjahon Ergashev, Shakram Giyasov, Batyrzhan Jukembayev .

^ The division is stronger than it usually is!!!

You're actually being too conservative, there's a ton of excellent fighters at 140, far more than the ones you're listing. You forgot Batyr Akhmedov, Mario Barrios, Subrial Matias, Marcelino Nicolas Lopez, Petros Ananyan, Julian Rodriguez, Arnold Barboza Jr, Jeremias Nicolas Ponce, Sandor Martin and Brandun Lee, who are all in the mix as well.

i was wrong about ramirez, which happens when guys are so closely matched. and i would rethink lipinets. i dont like what i saw last fight, even though he was facing a very talented fighter. and taylor is improving, and should continue to do so. i dont think taylor has the thump to scare loma, and loma is much faster and much more polished. i would think it would be close, but still slightly favor loma, at least till i see what he looks like next fight. all the rest, beat taylor, prograis, and ramirez.

I don't see Taylor getting much hate for unifying a weak division. Crawford got a lot more hate for it. Rightfully so, Crawford had a very easy run at 140. Though I would pick Crawford to knock Taylor out without hesitation.

The Division is very competitive at a high level. Makes for great match ups.
