Lighthearted: who landed the most low blows?

    When I think of blantant low blows being thrown in one fight. 4 instances come to mind. Golota/Bowe 1 and 2. He basically KO'ed Bowe twice with low blows. Fight 2 was the best low blow combination I think I ever saw that sent a man down ever. Anyhow. Other than Golota. 2 fights stand out.

    Abner Mares vs Agbeko. Loma vs Salido.

    For me the Mares fight takes the cake. He was never deducted a point. He even git awarded a KD for a blantant low blow.

    Salido is self explanatory and probably fresh in all of your minds.

    The Mares fight takes the cake for me. What fight you think was worse and if you can think of better examples, please share.

    Russell Mora should have never been allowed to referee a fight again after that. He was clearly paid off by Oscar, who had Mares at the time. Just shows the corruption in boxing.

    They were both bad. I'd vote Salido simply because of how mad I was watching the fight and how clean Loma was.

    Whitaker landed very low intentional blows against Chavez, he was warned, they he did it again on purpose.....

    Salido realyl low blows against Lomachenko but he had Lawrence Cole to over look them...

    Golota/Bowe

    SOB Ward loves to throw punches to the testicles and legs, that is a part of his strategy which is the reason he insists on his personal referees...............

    I really don't understand this sentiment at all. Lomachenko's clinching during that fight certainly wasn't clean and indeed prompted a fair bit of Salido's low blows. Mares-Agbeko was far more lopsided in terms of only one fighter actually doing the dirty stuff.

    1. Imo has to be Golota
    Honourable mentions Salido and an aging Chavez Sr & Don King (emotional low blows to his fighters :) ).

    Side note - I feel like I still cringe at Hattons blow on Tsyzu - damn that was right in the bread basket.

    Mares on Agbeko (even a lowblow knockdown).
    Salido on Lomachenko.
    Even the infamous Golota vs Bowe fight had clearly less lowblows as those two.
