I don't believe he's gotten that low, tho it'd be gr8 to know if he did. And it's too late for Toney anyway. He's done as a top fighter.
It's too late for James to make any real noise at heavyweight. Below 220 though, he'd at least take relatively less damage for his trouble.
Toney might as well keep going and fight at cruiser and try and get some paydays involving rjj or bhop for old times sakes. an in shape toney can likely outpoint more than a few hw 'contenders' but given the evidence of slippage that at least was apparent in the peter 2 fight he will get seriously hurt against a few hw's also
most dont care. We have heard this so many times "James is in shape" and im sure we will hear it again. No Way he fights a Klitschko for a title. Boring fight and JT is not even in the mix. If he wants a brother so bad, get off your ass and fight some guys to get in the mix. If not, STFU and retire
So what were their reactions to the 'Klitchko sisters' line? Did you learn a few more Ukrainian swear words?
Agree completely. At this point its irrelevant, Vitali vs. a 220lbs Toney would be quite ****ing interesting, Wlad would be able to beat Toney with his jab alone at this stage.
That dosen't mean He will be a an Elite fighter again, He dropped weight cool, but still he have the old and shot status, and those two things are imposible to remove.
Toney needs 2 hang it up. He's done. The Klitschkos will never fight him. 2 bad he couldn't fight Haye, tho.
There have been Toney weight-loss rumors going around since the Ruiz fight. My favorite was when he had Billy Blanks in his corner before the Peter rematch, and they said he'd be coming in around 215. He looked in better shape but still came in a pound heavier than the first fight, at 234.
