BTW for those who can't see/hear the fight:

Doug Fischer has ****ed up Michael Katisidis' name about 12 times now. I'm pretty sure it's "Kat-Seedees" and not "Kat-sid-is"

Also Bernard Hopkins made up a fighter called "Joel Casamazor"

 

Katsidis has a **** corner even though I've picked him to win!

I like Bernard as a commentator. He should replace Teddy Atlas on ESPN.

 

great fight...both looks slow but i love the inside fighting

 

Chavez looks set to sort of muscle Katsidis but nothing doing. A lot more clinching than I expected. Katsidis trying to muscle Chavez, Chavez JUST missed Katsidis with a big right hand. Chavez JUST misses with a crisp uppercut. He's too short on his punches. Nice body shot by Chavez. Katsidis is jabbing away and Chavez needs to get a liiittle closer. Chavez winging a little bit which isn't good. Katsidis popped with a right hand on the way in. Chavez has Katsidis there for an uppercut but he's gotta get a little closer to land it. Chavez and Katsidis fighting in a phone booth now.

10-9 Chavez on that one.

 

Bernard gets a little too excited and refers to this round as "Yo this is old school fightin dog!"

 

Good fight, Katsidis got to work in that round. Katsidis and Chavez did equal work but Katsidis is the harder puncher, so I gave him that round.

aw jeez. the showtime fights are getting ready to start now.

 

If Katsidis uses his jab this fight would be so much easier for him, i would not be surprised if Chavez opens up Kats face with cuts

 

I wonder if Katsidis is just efffing thick in the head. He never changes anything even after all the talk he was supposedly working on his boxing he still won't work a simple jab which would make the fight different.

 

I figure this thread will empty out a little while with Showtime starting. As soon as the main event begins on Showtime, I figure things will be dead. I'll still be here though so I'll keep it goin regardless.

Chavez is looking VERY relaxed right now.

 

The way these 2 are fighting, I don't see this fight reaching the 12th round.
