So @roughdiamond had Ike Williams as the finalist and people seemed to agree. I had him in the final so he's made his place to this RR with the big boys

    Benny Leonard (Tendler fight)
    Roberto Duran (3rd Dejesus fight)
    Henry Armstrong (Barney Ross fight)
    Ike Williams (2nd Montgomery fight)

    Rules
Old school ref with grappling, thumbing and pulling allowed
    Near death stoppages
    Neutral Corner after KD
    15 rounds
    18.5*18.5 ring
    2 way Rematches each match.

    Who has the most wins?

Choosing a clear winner here is next to impossible.

Duran by ‘78 was the complete lightweight but Leonard was pretty much complete from the start of his reign. H2H I think Armstrong might be the greatest 135 pounder ever but no-one is going to come out of this round robin undefeated.

In a best of 3 scenario, I’d have it something like this:

    Williams:
    1-2 Duran
    0-2 Armstrong
    0-2 Leonard
    (1 win; 6 defeats)

    Duran:
    2-1 Williams
    1-2 Armstrong
    1-2 Leonard
    (4 wins; 5 defeats)

    Armstrong:
    2-0 Williams
    2-1 Duran
    1-2 Leonard
    (5 wins; 3 defeats)

    Leonard:
    2-0 Williams
    2-1 Duran
    2-1 Armstrong
    (6 wins; 2 defeats)

    1. Leonard
    2. Armstrong
    3. Duran
    4. Williams

The scorelines look moderately insulting to Williams and Duran but this is seriously fine margins we’re talking about. This is the absolute best fighting the absolute best in one of the toughest weight divisions in boxing history.

I’d put my confidence rating in my own predictions here at about 30%!
