You're mean for putting Marquez in there. Might as well have put him in with the greatest at heavy at 50!

Though he is, as far as I know, the king of 144.

    1.Whitaker
    2.Duran
    3.Mayweather
    4.Chavez
    5.Mosley
    6.Marquez

I actually think Mosley's style would play into Chavez's game. Yea, Shane was an absolute beast @ lightweight but his looping punches, sometimes very sloppy footwork and pension for eating unnecessary shots would be his undoing with Chavez's statue like patience. But his low work rate at first could also put him way behind early. Damn, this would be a great tournament.

I don't know what kind of tournament has only 6 fighters that is fair. There should be 2 more slots to fill in this tournament and someone already mentioned Arguello so fix this 8 man tournament asap :p

Round Robin/Swiss style, rather than elimination

i think people here are seriously underating Chavez. He is probably one of the greatest at the weight along with Duran. Yes he lost to Whitaker but that was with him a little past it and above his best weight, im not saying he would win but it would be a different fight at 135 and i think he would win at least 1/2 of his fights unlike the person who said he doesnt win any

Mayweathers performances at lightweight are the worst of his career by some distance.

I don't know if had more to do with his injuries or the style of fighting he adopted but he got hit a lot back then, and never really dominated anyone in his 4 fights at that weight.

There probably his 4 worst perforances of his career. Based on that, you could argue that mayweather would struggle and IMO lose to Mosley, Chavez, Pea, and Duran.

I think he'd beat marquez quite comfortably.

If i could watch any fight of all of these i'd go for Marquez vs Chavez. That fight would be incredible IMO

Chavez by KO. Theres a reason pernell ran all the way to welterweight instead of fighting JCC at lightweight. JCC wouldve caused Pernell to leave the ring on a surf board.

I've Sweet Pea being the winner he has beaten Chavez (robbed), beats JMM. Matches with Mayweather, Mosley & Duran would be close but reckon he'd win (just)

Marques does not belong on that list. he's a career feather weight who moved up and did alright at lightweight. He loses to everyone on that list.

he has the style to give any comeforward fighter trouble from 122 to 140.

He strggles against counter punchers, so i'd give him no chance against whitaker and floyd. But i think he'd provide all sorts of trouble for Mosley, Duran and Chavez.

Don't forget Manny is a ATG and fighter of the decade but he has never been able to comfortably beat marquez

Duran and Chavez as finalist, with Duran winning on points.

Chavez is very underrated here, its as if people forgot how good he was and how brutal he was with his opponents.

Duran beats Chavez, Mosley, Mayweather, Marquez, and narrowly beats Whitaker
    Whitaker beats everybody minus Duran
