Last night I was watching the Telefutura hookup between Lonnie Smith Jr. and the very UNDERATED, Vincente Escobedo. Escobedo would be very interesting for mr. Showboat, A. Broner and that would be a good fight. Smith entered the ring wearing that mean, Ghetto face, acting like he was gonna' kill Escobedo, stalking like a caged panther in his corner ase V.E. was as cool as he could be. In the first minute, Smith tried that fkn' gangbangin' ****, bullrushing Escobedo as if he'd left his car running in the parking lot. After landing a few shots, Smith really got wreckless and the cool, calculating V.E. started timing him and taking his ass apart. In no time, Smith was on his ass, wondering wtfk happened. Escobedo proceeded to dissect the overmatched Smith and dropped him three times for a FIRST rd. ko. Watchout Broner!. I remember when Smith's dad upset Billy Costello and won the 130lb title and strutted around the streets, wearing the belt and carrying on like an idiot. He came into the Hoover st. gym with an entourage of 15. In his FIRST defense he put on that same act v. Rene arrendondo at the Sports Arena and got his badass dusted in one rd. LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON. Did anyone else see this hookup, if so, what can Escobedo do with Boner?
I forgot to add that after Smith lost his belt, he came back to the gym and had ONE guy with him and everybody started gettin his **** about his fan club.
I think broner is too good for him at a skill stand point but idk how many times we've seen the les$ skilled fighter will himself a victory.
