2) Jones landed more meaningful punches than hopkins did
3) When he started getting tired, Hopkins fought to spoil and survive. When Jones started getting tired, he continued to fight to WIN!
4) Jones fought till he fell on his sword rather than feign low blows
5) Jones fought a better conditioned better adjusted to the weight Calzaghe.

I have a lot more respect for the way Jones fought.

Maybe not, we don't pay their wages. But we do consume their product. And fans do tend to let experts in the media set the agenda by adopting the tone of the article to bolster a defence of "their" fighter, no matter how shaky the foundations sometimes. The media knows that the cheapest and easiest way to get publicity/page hits/ad clicks/etc is to get an "expert" to expound an unpopular or controversial opinion about a hot topic, even if said "expert" doesn't believe it themselves.
