I told you guys before that Valero is a good fighter and apparently has more skill than Gamboa.

Gamboa looked good in hitting the pads and showed good techniqe, but during this fight I just saw ... I saw someone who didn't have much to offer on the elite level.

He kept his hands down and didn't show much at all, besides the ability to throw straight punches.

He reminds me of Casamayor ...

Valero in 8 by devastating KO!!

i dont know about that i believe gamboa can still outbox him and maybe even stop valero who is not technically better than gamboa,, but gamboa's chin will be tested 4 sure i think if his chin holds up he will beat valero,, but i see this fight as the next logical fight 4 gamboa after fighting a couple guys a little better than the one he fought today , valero hasnt face any stiff competition either it would definately big a great fight 4 sure

Gamboa has already schooled, outclassed and manhandled better composition in 10 fights than Valero has in his entire career.

Hey you say all of this but if Gamboa underestimates Valero like he did this guy tonight then he's going to be kissing the canvas ...

If he exchanges with Valero he's kissing the canvas ...

and when you step up in class ... when you step up in competition ... you're usually on you "A" game or somewhat close to it.

I'm sure that Valero has enough experience to tighten up when its neccessary.

Its crazy to see a different fighter in sparring (against better competition) than in his fights.

I think Gamboa would take a big risk during the fight and pay that ultimate price.

No matter if Gamboa tightens up or not ... he's always going to revert to those bad habits.

Atleast Valero keeps his hands higher than Gamboa ... his hands were completely down ... and despite his competition he should respect the fact that he's in a fight and that one punch can change anything.

The first rule is to protect yourself at all time ...

And? Gamboa has 400+ amateur fights. He is a more experienced fighter than Valero will ever be in his entire life.

Gamboa is better then the rest of the prospects who ALL have had tough fights against lesser guys and also get hit like it aint ****. He is still going to win fights and get a title. Not many guys would keep coming at him after eating his straight punches in bunches like that. He just needs to learn to break his guys down to the body.

    I'm not a Gamboa hater ... I actually think he's a good prospect and I think he'll be a world champ some day ...

But one tap on the chin from Valero - no matter if he's dominating the fight or not could = good night for Gamboa

Experience is thrown out the window when your going toe to toe and exchanging punches. Especially against a guy who's got 23 wins w/ 23 KO's on his record.

I don't care if this guy was knocking out actual bums ... it takes alot to knock out a man ... I don't give a **** who it is ..

I disagree. Valero is technically pretty crude. His only real chance against Gamboa is to land the big punch really, although with the defence of Gamboa it is still a possibility.
