Yeah, check my previous posts ... Ward got the stoppage like I said and he's the new WBA super middleweight champion. Don't doubt me on my posts ... I called it just like how it was going to go down ... I wish someone would try to challenge my prediction, the proof is there. Great job Ward ... We're back Andre Ward is tied for the lead in the super six !! Next is Jermain Taylor and after this had dwindled down I will make my prediction on that fight. I can tell you guys this, I seen some resemblence of Floyd in there but i've also seen some signs of Oscar and Miguel Cotto ... I'll let you guys figure that out as far as what i'm talking about. Ward boxed beautifully and won the fight by breaking Kessler down from a boxing stand point. Always pick the boxer !!
I think that Ward deserved the stoppage ... despite there being controversay with the headbutt, Ward should've gotten the stoppage and an extra point.
Why? It was a terrible cut caused by a head butt. It's not like Ward was knocking Kessler down every round. Good win, though. Ward looked damn good.
It wasn't a fair stoppage though, Kessler didn't seem to be in SERIOUS trouble imo. I think he could have easily survive the 12 rounds.
you were wrong man Ward won by decision. the replay also showed that the headbutt wasn't accidental. Good job by Ward but a better ref might have caught him.
Not only was he not in serious trouble he wasnt in any trouble at all and had just had his best period of the fight. Thats not saying much but while they were still fighting Kessler still has a chance to win.
Whatever you haters ... Ward was well on his way to a stoppage at the time of the end of the fight was leading on all scorecards and despite the "stoppage" of the fight, there was going to be some point where Kessler's team was going to have to give. Kessler was complaining of his vision from the 5th or 6th round and he was getting hit too much. It was going only to be a matter of time before Kessler gave and it had nothing to do with what he brought to the table, because Kessler is good and we all have to remember that we're talking about a historically weak division and this is just the begining of something good in this division - that has been dominated by Europeans since the days of its begining. All the European fighters seemed to be overrated and this has truly turned into a US vs Euro match up ... we've seen Abraham and Froch, neither of whom looked impressive (despite Abraham getting the KO) And there's still a bit of controversay in all fights ... Taylor vs Abraham - the questionable low blows Dirrell vs Froch - who the **** would give Froch the decision in such an ugly fight Ward vs Kessler - the headbutts and the ref !!
I said that Ward was going to dominate this fight and I said it despite all of the hate from all of you guys that thought that Kessler was the overall favorite. I said that Kessler has never seen anyone like Ward, Ward wasn't used to losing, and that Kessler has never fought a stable American opponent. His stiffest challenge was Joe Calzaghe and it didn't say much about him, but that he can hang with a hall of famer.
Why? You are so ****ing biased man. Honestly, you need to jump out of a window. I'm not even a Kessler fan and thought he was one of the most overrated fighters in the forum but still Ward didn't stop anyone here.
Why? Because both cuts were clearly caused by headbutts? Ward looked amazing, but technical decision was the right call. The cut was caused by an accidental headbutt, and it stopped the fight, so they went to the scorecards, rules are rules. You don't get extra points just because...
Check my previous posts guys ... the proof is in there, I called the fight ... either or it went the way of Ward when the majority had Kessler winning and being a favorite for the tournament.
Naa man. His corner listened to what KESSLER had to say in regards to stopping the fight. In no point did Kessler have weak legs or look seriously hurt. He was rocked a few times in the earlier rounds, but in all seriousness that ref sucked serious ass. Ward and Dirrell is going to be THE ugliest fight in the super 6. Both run, both hold to a ridiculous amount, both are switch hitters, both are fast and both are pot shotters...ugly boring ass chess match that ends in an ongoing debateable close decision that can be lobbied for either guy. Kessler's in-fighting game IS pathetic though. He was also greatly overrated, but still a good boxer nonetheless. I too said Ward was going to win. Didn't think it was going to be by domination, but I knew he would win. But I think the finals might be Kessler/Ward II
