bull**** ... anytime you think of a fighter so much that your talk has mainly become about him, not defending your belt or racking up title fights, its all about him.

his focus isn't in the right direction and because of that he lose his belt and a legit chance to fight Hatton.

He can't just say he's the one to beat Hatton ... Ricky's the recognized champion ... Witter has to fight for a right to land a shot against Hatton and at this point like I keep saying he's going to lose that belt and any leverage to land a big fight.

Boxing is not all about Power. Hatton has trouble with boxers and he will have trouble against Paulie and Witter. You don't have to hurt Hatton to beat him. If they beat him they would beat Hatton on points. Anyway this is the two fights Hatton should have right after his tune up fight.

What are you talking about? Witter has slowly but surely maneovred himself into a position whereby most have him as the number 1 contender to Hatton, if he is truely the best as you say. This after being screwed over by Warren and Hatton, when he was promised a fight

My question is how the hell have two Brits been in the same division for about 10 years, with one ring champ and now one number 1 contender in most peoples eyes without ever fighting? It's bizarre.

You don't sound like you know the ins and outs of this at all

I not trying to say Hatton is bad or anything like that. Hatton is a really good fighter but I think he needs to fight the best in his divison to prove he's the best. Hatton needs to fight Paulie and Witter to make Hatton go to the Hall of Fame. Everybody from Hatton fans and Hatton haters want to see Ricky Hatton fight the best in his division.

    Agreed.

Being universally recognised as the strongest challenger at the weight is absolutely no way to get the number one in the ring.

If Witter wants Hatton he'll have to uh, do other stuff as well.

:yep maybe if hatton loses his tune up match like DLH will, then Witter will be the guy he looks for... at that point in time if Witter says '**** you' it will be poetic justice.

Hatton struggles with speedy boxers and especially counter punchers. Combine the two with an unorthodox style, legitimate two fisted pop and Hatton has problems.

Why not? Hatton hasn't been truly impressive since beating the **** out of Ray Oliveira in 2004. He was outgunned by Luis Collazo and forced to clinch to hell and back to preserve a victory over Juan Urango. And it's not like Mayweather-Hatton was a competitive fight. I gave Ricky one round (round 5), and Mayweather pretty much had his way with Hatton whenever he was letting his hands go. I know a lot of times, when fighters lose to other elite champions they become better fighters themselves in the process. I highly doubt this was one of those cases.
