One thing is certain on this fight, Hatton will take the fight to PBF, and PBF better be ready for some rough housing by Hatton, the Ref for this fight will have his hands full, for as long as the fight will last....Hatton will come forward trying to drawn PBF like he did against the aging Tzsyu, but it will be up to PBF to accept this challenge or simple pop and move , but he won;t be able to avoid Hatton for 12 rounds, it will be a true test to the wonderful physical condition that PBF bragss that he is in.....

I see PBF winning this fight by UD , but there will be some dangerous moments for him during the course, that will be dictated not by Hatton but by how effiecient the Ref will be minimizing Hatton;s rough housing antics....

I agree -Hatton's going to test PBF like no one else, and I believe he can pull out a win by decision - he has the tenacity, hunger and strength to sit on PBF for 12 rds, and I think this willl be a great fight.

I kind of feel the same way, and I also think the fact that Mayweather is coming off his career defining fight and the payday he made, is going to be a factor in the fight as well. Its almost certainly going to make him a little softer mentally against the hungry Hatton.

    100% agree.

But Mayweather is going to be prepared for anything. It's why he's the best fighter in the world.

But glad some people out there realise that this is clearly NOT Mayweather cherry-picking an opponent, even if there is a possible harder out there (although both Cotto and Mosely are fighting eachother).

Looking forward to the tenacity Ricky brings. And how he deals with an absolutely master. Should be good to watch (although when, imo, PBF starts to take control, some may think its boring)

Ricky Hatton has everything in his arsenal that DLH was kicking PBF's ass with in thier fight. The difference is Hatton doesn't get tired.

Neither of those things are important to the fight. Hatton has never used his size advantage in a fight. instead, he uses his strength to bully his opponent, and he will still have that advantage gainst Mayweather. And the use of De La Hoya's jab is waaaay overrated. It wasn't that iomportant, plus, Hatton doesn't need a jab. he never has and never will. Not having a jab doesn't mean he will lose, as he has never fought with one.

Plus, Castillo had neither either, and he did better than De La Hoya did.

    Huh. :huh :huh :huh

A size advantage and a jab like a haircut? Um. Not quite.

The post I responded to stated that Hatton has everything that DLH had when he was giving PBF trouble and thats simply not true.

And the use of the jab wasnt important against Floyd? Please. Did you watch the fight? When Oscar stopped jabbing, PBF took control.

Oscar is a different kind of fighter, hard to compare, but the fact that Hatton has more punches in his arsenal and will force the fight more, thats whats going to make it interesting. Oscar forced the fight with pressure but not a lot of offense.. Hatton will press the figth with a lot of offense coming at Floyd. Floyd at some point is going to have to fight Hatton to get him off of him.

I don't see Hatton's jab as lethal as Oscar's ..Im sure he will make every attempt to lure MW into a brawl but will fail miserably ..

PBF will school Hatton when the two meet in december. Hatton needs to fight people that stand in front of him to be successful and PBF doesn't fight like that. PBF will make Hatton pay for falling in, he will beat him to the punch and counter the hell out of him. His lack of a jab to keep PBF honest will also hurt him in this fight. He will also fustrate the hell out of him with his movement. Not to mention that Hatton's best punch, his hook to the body will be damn near impossible to land on PBF in the middle of the ring. Hatton is in for a long night come dec. 8th. PBF by wide UD or TKO.:deal

THis is what you would think on paper, but one has to consider Hattons record. He has certainly not faced anyone like PBF, but he is undefeated and has faced some guys that move and box. On the other hand Floyd hasnt faced a guy that brings this type of intensity to the fight. The only thing we as fans can hope for, is that Floyd is forced out of his comfort zone, and has to fight a little more. Oscar tried but hes basically a one handed fighter, so it was not effective at all. Noone is unbeateable, and Judah certainly showed Floyd is vulnerable in certain areas, its just he ddint have the heart to keep it up, whereas Hatton does.

he doesn't have DLH's jab, accuracy, size, handspeed. All he has is the ability to come forward and I think that he will be very surpised when he finds out that Floyd can push back

Exactly if Hatton wants to hit and hold PBF will stick a forearm in Hatton's throat to keep him at bay.:yep PBF's strenght and heart are very underrated here as well.
