Like it or not Ward's best win is still Calzaghe leftovers

Pac was a robbery. Not a fan of Ward's but Froch & Kessler are way more impressive W's than Bradley's resume

    Yes .

    Irish father

    African-American mother .

I do wonder at times how people from ireland view Andre Ward .

Do they claim him at all ?

all Calzaghes SMW opponents except for Kessler did less for him than what Froch would do, some of them combined!

Didn't stop Calzaghe from fighting largely this series of chumps back then, did it? but suddenly Froch isn't good enough. Wat a crock.

Then its a shame for you that I didn't say that or think that once.
I told you that adding Froch to his itinerary would not have been a problem since Joe had only 2 fights in 2 years planned. He could easily add this lucrative British showdown. I asked why Joe didn't do this.
Why did you replace MY question with an unrelated one that you invented on the spot ('how would froch generate more money than roy?)'.

I didn't disagree with Pacquiao fight being a robbery I was saying If it was based on wins (official.) Then Pacquiao, Marquez wins are better wins than Froch and Kessler.

I rate Ward ahead of Bradley based on I thought Bradley really should have a Loss to Pacquiao on his record.

Wasn't really following boxing that much at the time of Hopkins fight.

But would Joe have got much credit for beating Froch at the time?

In hindsight it would have been a great win but at that point Froch was yet to beat Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Abraham , Bute, Johnson and Kessler.

Would Calzaghe have got any credit for beating Froch at the time? No. Froch hadn't fought a single world level opponent to that point and wouldn't fight a proven world level boxer until the Taylor fight a month or so after Calzaghe retired - Pascal was just as unproven on the world stage at that time as Froch was - his best wins at the time were the ancient and shot Robin Reid two fights removed from being stopped by Lacy and gate-keeper Brian Magee.

and yet none of his previous opponent choices would yield credit except for Kessler, and title cred for Lacy.
So I don't see why Froch should be any different.

In essence, it was Joes habit to pick weak fighters, so to argue that Joe gained nothing from picking someone a little tougher but not yet huge (Froch) is spurious. It was his norm to pick em weak, and he had no reason to break the habit. The only times Joe avoided fighters was when he deemed them a bit too tough.

You cant really be saying Joe didn't want to fight Froch because he was lowly, when its the norm for Joe to fight people lowly. Your argument suggests that Joe SHOULD fight Froch.

knowing that froch would make his mark internatonally shouldn't change calzaghe's decision though
look at kell brook...he's doing EXACTLY the same thing froch did - calling out bigger players but fighting exactly nobody

I think Ward already has a better resume than Calzaghe. He's pretty much cleaned out SMW, and will probably take less time to move up to LHW than it did for Calzaghe.
