Like Larry Merchant but what was up with that lambasting SSM post fight interview?

He was wrong and Shane has some people he can compete with in this division, even if he can't win at the top level.

Sadly, Mosley needs that kind of treatment to finally retire. I personally don't want to see a legend like him losing to scrubs he would have crushed in his prime with ease nor do I want to see him permanently hurt in his retirement.

If Merchant didn't go to Cintron, Hatton, Rhodes, Gomez, and Ndou and demand they retired, he shouldn't have said **** to Shane, because he performed better than all of them.

who wants a broadcast team full of cheerleaders who are too afraid of asking uncomfortable questions? he wasnt hateful or disrespectful towards shane, he asked what everyone posting during the fight wanted to know or said shane should do. i get more than my share of cheerleading from lampley and jones.

it is ok Shane sticks around, but at this point now a younger fighter should get the title fight. Shane has been given a few chances to win in big fights and blown the last 3.

I like Shane, so why would anybody want to see him keep getting beat up like that? Merchant, is always a dumbass, except his dealings with Floyd, but Shane should quit.

Although I don't agree with Merchants use of the phrase "hanging around" toward Mosley, I understand why he said it.

Shane needs to retire, not because of Alvarez, but because Shane should have retired three years ago. Shane continues to fight because his ex (Gin Mosley) took him to the cleaners during their divorce settlement - the ***** got everything except the kitchen sink. Mosley let this opportunistic gold digging woman manage his money, and not he has little to show for all the hard work he put in over the years. Mosley probably will continue to fight until he get seriously hurt and I DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT HAPPEN. If you truly care about Mosley Tweet him or send him emails letting him know it's time to retire.
