b, a couple of corrections about our greatestP4p fighter. 1- he was stopped in his first year by a bigger ,very experienced Joe Chip, and when Greb broke his arm fighting a tough Kid Graves. In 298 OTHER bouts, he was NEVER stopped again... 2-Greb in that long career fighting bigger and heavier men, that a Ray Robinson would have avoided, [think Moore, Charles, johnson, lloyd Marshall] Harry greb was seldom if ever disqualified in his long career. Were all the referee's blind,or was it that those, hard, tough days of dog eat dog, rough tactics were an accepted part of boxing those days ? i think i know the answer ! 3- to say Greb's name has"all but disappeared ", is not true ,especially by astute boxing lovers of the sport they love ,including yours truly. 4-Harry Greb's legacy in boxing lore, has never been surpassed, along with the likes of a rare few, such as Fitz, Langford, Walker, Armstrong, who tackled anyone regardless of SIZE,and were successful. Along with that rare group Harry Greb will never be forgotten...cheers..
