Like the MW's in '01, how about a WW Tournament '09: SSM, Cotto, Berto, Clottey?

Great Idea... and both should make for great fights.. although something tells me that Mosley and Cotto would both win easily

 

I think it would be a good idea but It seems like realistically the way things are really going right now, it will/would be Clottey vs Cotto and Berto vs Mosley. I think a focused Cotto can decision Clottey and Mosley should be able to stop Berto. A mosley vs cotto rematch is close to call IMO

 

You have to feel sorry for Clottey. I think he would have had a very live chance at beating Margarito in a rematch, and he would give Cotto and Mosley hell. Hopefully we see him decently matched at some point this year. Cotto vs Berto would be a great test before he gets back in the ring with Mosley or someone else of a high caliber.

 

I like the idea... hard fights to pick though. I lean towards Cotto / Mosley in the finale.

 

Yea Clottey is great, he does tend to put the ear muffs on and take punches off his forearms and gloves... but Mosley has been great throwing straight rights that come in at the perfect angle against that kind of DEF ... would be a fun fight to watch.

 

they still need to remove margarito from the equation...if cotto wins the tourney, he can't be called untouchable simply because margarito still owns him

 

i would actually back clottey to sneak a decision over mosley and maybe beat cotto too

I think every division should have a compulsoy tourney between all its title holders.

 

Good idea . . . but not realistic for Mosley. The guy is old and just looking for money fights. But the 3? Berto; Cotto and Clottey . . . it's a barn burner fights.
