I do think short term it will be better to have a few more belts available. Will get some better heavyweight fights and if some one is good enough they will get all the belts again..

Historically, when a unified champion loses a belt, it's for good. I would not expect Fury to regain the IBF title anytime soon if ever.

Dude, you're preaching to the choir. I totally agree that the Fury Wlad rematch should involve the IBF title. I'm only stating the facts. The business of boxing often means that a legitimate champion gets stripped by a sanctioning organization for fighting the fights the fans want to see most. Nobody gives a shit about the IBF's mandatory - but - when you get in the bed with the sanctioning organizations then this is the kind of mess you have to deal with...

Unlikely. I think Glazkov will just accept step aside money and wait for the rematch to pan out.

    I think it's a 50/50 situation.

Glaskov knows he can't beat either guy if he takes a step aside fee (they will actually pay unlike some diva), so he might opt for the much easier fight for the vacant belt instead to ask for bigtime money in a unification bout.
But then again, it's a gamble because he might actually lose to whatshisname and have to settle for 200k or thereabout.
