Arum prefers Salido & Loma wants Vargas' belt.. Happy with both to be honest. I'd prefer Vargas because if Loma beat him it would make him a 3 time champion in only 9 fights over two weight classes... Unprecedented! Though Salido would finally put to bed that early chapter! Who would you prefer? I'm just happy it's not a filler or a stay busy fight if either of these pan out..

Either one is fine. I have a slight preference towards Salido since there's a history there. I think Loma stops both of them at this point.

Meh... Loma should go for history and make Saleazo wait one more fight. Go after Saleazo after winning that third title and prove what actual boxing fans already know... He's levels above him.

    He's better off against Vargas

Salido could tap that ass one more time and it'll be over for him

Fight Vargas. 3 time world champ in 9 fights sounds amazing. Then go up to fight Flanagan to be a 4 time world champ, 3 weight world champ in 10 fights. Then fight Salido (Loma may have bulked a bit hopefully to make 135, so will be a slightly bigger 130lber when he returns to it). If Vargas forces a fight (he will in stages but will ultimately be unsuccessful and get TKO'd), Lomachenko can learn more going into the Salido fight.
Loma is better than Salido but Salido is one of Loma's ultimate boogeymen. I'm not convinced Loma will have an easy sailing against Salido in a rematch.

Either way, I believe 2017 = Vargas, Flanagan, Salido.

LOMO don't want no mo of Salido, and his pappy Arum won't let him fight him either, even if he had the nuts to try again.

He's twice been considered the number 1 fighter in 2 divisions. He beat everyone he fought and cleaned house as an amateur.

What's missing is actual divisional dominance.

Salido next. Unification with Vargas. That gives him 4 elite level victories in a division, that's enough to start talking about him in cross era comparisons.

He could even stay there and clean house Miura, Corrales, Uchiyama, Frampton, Cuellar, LSC, Mares, Quigg.

    There's a lot of potential.
I don't wanna see him hopping through divisions picking up WBO trinkets claiming to be a 6 time world champion or whatever. His two word championships are debate able enough as it is. GRJ, Martinez, does that really make someone a champion?

He's never once fought the best in a division whilst being considered one of the top men there. The closest he came is when GRJ beat Gonzalez after he'd beaten him.

    Let's see him do that.

Anyone thinking he's levels above Salido clearly doesn't watch boxing.

    Salido beat him.

Lol FAIR AND SQUARE huh?? How many low blows did he shoot? And Lomachenko has gotten better with each fight. Salido is getting starched when they fight again. Watch

Draw Imo. Don't say the opinion of US fans means nothing either...

If it meant nothing Whitaker would have defeats to Ramirez & Chavez. He doesn't IMO

I see Salido struggling with Martinez & Vargas lately. I suspect Loma finishes his greenhorn job decisively this time.

I would go with Salido because the window on this fight is closing fast. Salido may decline rapidly soon due to all his ring wars and if Loma wants to right that injustice, now is the best time. The Vargas fight will be available to Loma for a while.
