It looks like Salido is willing to take the offer and fight Lomachenko in March! So the rematch looks to be on deck, next.
salido cheated his ass off with the weight! anyone who doesnt mention that doesnt know **** about boxing. if someone tried to come in overweight against floyd we would hear about it all day
Gotta go for Salido and take care of that loss. Salido's not getting any younger but there is plenty of time to pursue the other champs later. Fix that question mark on your record.
Exactly. Salido's 36, and he pulled out of his fight with an old man back injury. Plus I thought he outlasted and deserved to beat Vargas so should have the inside track. Get it on for March, and give Salido a good payday. And if it's Vargas, after he fights in January a Loma fight would probably be dragged out till May, and Loma wouldn't fight more than twice next year.
Hit the nail the the head. If they do this fight, do it now and Salido should go out with a bang. Not to mention Loma's stock going up if he wins. (That and maybe make a trilogy out of it...)
Let it be Salido, so Loma can finish what he started in the later rounds. That dude has a spanking coming.
I mean... if you want to even consider that a 'win' then Salido did technically. But how weight was he over by? What kind of ref was reffing the fight?? Kinda like Ward fans claiming a big victory but was it really?! Lol Loma has mowed through world class opposition since then. Salido is going out next time.
I think Loma will dominate the rematch and I thought he deserved the nod in the first fight, and more than he was obviously the better fighter. But no, though Cole let Salido get away with low blows, it was not an 'injustice', not a foregone conclusion that Loma would otherwise have won. Loma paced himself poorly, being too cognizant of the 12 round distance in his first championship fight. He backpedalled and stayed away from Salido too much. He let Salido outhustle and outthrow him in too many rounds. He wasn't the assertive ring general for several rounds, as we've seen him be in every other fight. He took too long in the fight to get comfortable offensively and land combinations. It's an L on his record that he has to accept and avenge.
