    Mayweather boxes his ears off.

Floyd UD (10-2 or 9-3) possible late stoppage.

At 140, pre-chavez, Taylor all the way based on faster hands, superior combination, solid chin and constant aggression. UD, 9-3

taylor. he was faster than floyd and just as strong. floyd would have to knock him out to win. taylor wouldn't give floyd many chances to launch his attack. he'd have floyd covering up the whole time. i think floyd somewhere inbetween would be able to launch his left hook from the ropes and wobble taylor. great matchup. meldrick taylor before chavez was a speed demon, but with little ko power.

Taylor was ridiculously fast with his hands, before Chavez, against Chavez, after Chavez.

Taylor's speed and workrate would give Mayweather problems. Mayweather was a smarter fighter though, who generally knows how to take away his opponent's best assets. Eventually I think Mayweather would adjust to Taylor's advantages and win a close decision.

Taylor was a very good fighter. It's a shame what's happened to him. Even if he'd never fought Chavez though, I doubt he'd have had a long career at the top, due to his style, and the talent pool at 147 in the early to mid 90s.

great analysis:good the only real danger to taylor was his tendency to trade and get sloppy but mayweather doesn't have one punch knockout power so i don't see floyd knocking him out. Floyd's ring intelligence would see him to the end but taylor had inhuman athletism

Meldrick Taylor would repeat what he did to James "Buddy" McGirt.
