Roach is a great trainer period.

Everyone has a losing streak sometimes.

    No qualms with Freddie Roach.

His illness is progressing, it's more apparent everytime I see him, and he still fights to do what he loves. He gave an interview last night demanding that all blame for the Pacquaio KO be directed at him.

He's had an awful year, and it seems like it's humbled him.

    1. Paper skin 2. never had solid fundamentals 3. glass jaw 4. on the decline to being shot

BUT all with weak defense. So to a degree not.

i guess guys are supposed to win forever

with those 3 guys he still has about a 96% win rate.

i guess thats a failing grade as a boxing trainer.

All the other guys I mentioned had their flawes long before Roach got them. But Linares was GIFTED!!! Speed, Athleticism, Raw Skill and Talent...how Roach could not refine that is just ridiculous.

Linares is not meant for boxing. Look at Berto. He has all the speed and athleticism he needs and you can add to that a big heart but he doesnt have the mindset of a boxer. There are many gifted athletes in boxing but that doesnt mean that they are meant to beboxers(Dawson).
    So true.

Roach did a lot for Khan. He turned Jr into a top contender and made Pacquiao anoffencive beast. If Roach knew more about defense... Will always be a what if situation. Roach is a great trainer.

Got alot of respect for Roach mainly for his love of the sport. But the guy cares to much about the Knock Out. I'm ovioulsy not in the gym with him everyday but from watching him train fighters and then watching them perform it sure seems like he dosent care much for the fundementals of boxing ie bringing the hands back to your dome, staying tight, elbows in ect. Sorry to say Roach fans but as a trainer i give him a C- and thats being genorous.

Ill put it to you like this: If Pacquio never walked into the Wildcard Pacquiao would still be a house hold name and only the die hards would know the name ROACH
