Just another Glass Jawed joke exposed. And people here say punch resistance is not a major factor for a Boxer. :roflatsch
You guys seem happy that this guy was knocked out ... damn ... I never seen the guy fight but i'm not going to count him out after 1 loss ...
:nod I like him, and think he's got upside. People are getting carried away with this. But imo losses build (or expose) character. At least he wont have a "0" to protect, the obsession of which is one of the things plaguing this sport.
He was hit on temple though. :blood That make a difference? Or would he have a "glass jaw" from a body shot as well? Nah... Don't answer. :rofl
Pacman was KO'd twice early in his career, just because you lose a fight or get knocked out doesnt mean that your career is over, great fights have lost fights its how you come back that matters, i will still follow Jorge Linares's career, yes i am disapointed but, he can come back from this.
Khan was hyper and rocked off of a jab against Prescott ... then he didn't compose himself after tasting Prescott's left hand power ... he just traded with Prescott and got knocked out. This knockout of Linares looked a bit different ... I don't think its the chin issues with this guy ... he got caught on the temple for the first or second knock down and never recovered ... that doesn't say anything about that mans chin or overall upside ... I would like to see more of him on US TV ... I don't think he was exposed ... the guy he fought was undefeated and was looking to stay undefeated ... its a double edge sword when you have two undefeated fighters fighting against each other. Some of the most dramatic fights have occurred between two undefeated fighters. I think most of you guys are putting too much stock in this one loss ... if he's being compared to Salvador Sanchez ... shouldn't be evaluated until his career is over ... we all know that Sanchez' career was cut short and who knows if that guy would've lost 10 fights for his career ... he was on a good run but history shows with an all out style like that he was bound to lose ... and for being 24 yrs old ... this guy is 4-1 in championship fights and has won 2 world titles in 2 divisions ... he also can get bigger ... There's more to see from this kid. This wasn't like Khan who definitely has no chin ... or Ortiz who has questionable heart ...
Wow just saw it that embarrsingly quick and brutal it reminds you of most MMA KOs. At high level boxing you dont expect such a trashing inside 40 secounds like that.
