That was horrible, I would saw that Linares is glassed jawed and that is a term that I never use, in fact i hate that term..BUT that was a jook punch, half jab half hook, it was also blocked and it did that much damage??? That dont speak well to his future, unless this kid that just whacked him is the next big thing. But I dont think so.
damn that chin must be glass...he got knocked down with his gloves up.....the fighter intros lasted longer lololol...another exposed boxing talent....i like how the other kids face was stoic the whole time...he looked hungry
body shots hurt pacman early amd he got caught with a punch when he charging in...linares on the other hand was on his toes and this dude winged a left hook which almost paralyzed him lololol.....if he couldnt see that punch just imagine...he wasnt charging in or nothing ....his defense was up and he still got dropped...at least khan tried to wing it with duke b4 he got dropped
This is a case of an overconfident champion waiting to go to the USA w/ a top promoter, and getting laxed against a non descript opponent. You could tell that linares was way too calm in there, and showing no respect to his hard punching, determined and undefeated opponent. That is why he haphazardly stuck his right hand up to block a charging lead left, and the punch pierced his guard threw to his temple. Linares' equilibrium was **** afterwards. In a rematch, i'd expect linares to regain his title, but now he has a stigma he hadn't had prior to this match. I'd say exposed is definitely the right word.
I'm anticipating Rico Spadafora's Glass Jaw Rankings for next month. Maybe Solis will be added to the list.
It was not blocked, stop the vid right when his left connects and you will see that the punch hit him flush
