As we know he resurrected his career after whooping those soft British boyz and his career was put back on the radar. But I just can't forget this guy's history of getting cut and looking vulnerable late in fights not once but several times. I never rated Linares. I just can't forget his losses and how loses fights. The guy is good for 6 rounds. But he is the perfect opponent for someone the caliber of Lomachenko to look good on as he is ushered into the 135 division. I can't hate on that. But Lomachenko is the real article very impressive tonight.
Not rating him is harsh, he's been a great fighter at 135. Loma coming up and stopping him is really impressive. I can't take anything away from Lomachenko, he took bombs tonight but he came back and won.
Linares is very very good... I went from thinking he was special to thinking he was a bum then realizing he was special but needed the right guidance... no shame in losing to Loma who is beyond special.
Number 1 at lightweight for a while, if you let linares get in his stride he will chop you up and swallow you, loma did a perfect job of keeping him down.
I actually forgot about Linares for years.I thought he had retired after those brutal losses. But out of nowhere he was back on the scene. The Mitchell fight. Then he was fully back when he beat another British dude Corolla this put his name back on the map. . Good on him..I really thought he was retired after those brutal losses.
I rate Linares really highly and one or two more solid wins and he was knocking on the P4P Top 10 door with his run of dominant form at Lightweight. Lomachenko seems to impress even more every fight, yet to watch the fight back but too stop a dominant champion in Linares who by the sounds of things towers do over Loma, he's Number one in the World right now without a doubt
Nothing new.. This content is protected This content is protected Linares is also older and shop worn..
You can post videos of any fighters losses and they will look bad. The fact is, his recent form has been excellent, you should try watching some of his fights. Stop trying to downplay an excellent win for Lomachenko.
I saw his fights with the soft British boys and i was not sold at all. Because Linares was already damaged goods and was only being repackaged and sold to the public like he is a great boxer again. But the truth is he has 3 brutal losses and in reality he was never that good to begin with.. Crawford and Garcia have never had brutal losses like that. Linares has already been exposed several times in the past. What more that he is 32 years old on a winning streak simply because he has never fought anybody great. Mikey Garcia would smoke Linares easily!
It's very rare and that's when he was late teen moron.. Are you saying he is a caliber of Manny Pacquiao now? Gtfo..
No what I'm saying is that a fighter is who he is on the night, not on what happened 6 years ago. Thank you for proving that glassbrains do indeed exist.
It was funny, a cousin sitting next to me was repeating over and over but he's a CHAMPION so he's goooood right! I think the casuals rate belts and champion titles much higher than we do.
