maybe!! i reallly dont know until i see Linares in there with someone good like a Soto, cause these guys that hes been fighting dont offer nothing in return.

and Gamboa hasnt even been a pro for two years,if Gamboa continues to step up his comp in the next couple of years and Linares keeps fighing scrubs i would definately pick Gamboa.

Glad to see that Linares is back.. Didn't get to see the fight, so I don't know how he looked, but he did stop him in the 5th.. I would like to see Linares to step up the competition and fight guys such as Barrios, Guerrero, Soto, or even Gamboa..

I pick Gamboa over Linares. Linares should fight Soto next if he wants to prove he's the real deal.

JMM has no interest in Linares. He only wants big fights now.

Whaddafack! Another worthless belt won from fighting an obscure stiff. :( This belt (and victory) is nothing until he defends it with someone in the likes of Soto, JMM, Juarez, Barrios, et al.

It boggles my mind that we have so many Gamboa haters with so many Linares lovers. I agree with everything Bladerunner's said, though nobody likes to take any of it into account.

Gamboa KO6 Linares if they ever do square off.

it would be a big step up from the bums hes been fighting.

damn nutthuggers instead of wanting to see good fights theyre happy if he continues fighting scrubs cause its a sure win.

He beat the dog**** out of Oscar Larios and a couple other good fighters. You'd have to blind not to recognize that technique and power, and either you don't like boxing or he ****ed your girlfriend if you don't want to see him in the ring again.

I know Linares is good and going to get even better, however it does not change the fact that Whyber Garcia should not have been fighting for any world title. He fought an eliminator with Edwin Valero and was KO'd in Rd1 then had a win over a guy with 8 wins and 8 losses, then was KO'd in RD2 by Roinet Caballero who was 19-7-1, came back with a questionable majority decision win over a guy with a 9 wins 6 losses and 5 draws record then KO'd the same guy in 5 rds.

How does this qualify him for a shot at the vacant WBA Superfeatherweight Title ?
