In September...Tail end of career fight for both men.. Obviously Linares is more skilled but his punch resistance may have totally gone suffering two recent stoppages.. Burns has gotten two mediocre wins since losing to Crolla.. Linares coming off a brutal loss but is back at LW now.. Who wins?

Ricky has received so many robberies it is impossible to like this fake fighter. My only regret about his career is that we haven't had the joy of watching Josh Taylor smash this clown through the canvas. Burns may come across as a humble guy blah blah, but any self respecting man would at the very acknowledge that they lost a damn fighter and the real winner actually deserves the victory. Ohara Davies has shown us the way. Respect to him, he is a 'real' fighter.

Anyway, I hope Linares pummels him.

True enough ,Burns won't win this one by robbery as Linares stops him imo

I'm with you, but Linares isn't the toughest guy and has a habit of losing to clearly less skilled fighters from time to time. I could see Burns (who is a far inferior fighter at their respective peaks) pulling it off with a big punch, cuts, or flurry / early stoppage.

Linares “should” win but he has a habit of letting people down.

Burns is one of my favorite fighters of recent memory, fought everyone for the most part and tough as nails with THE warrior's spirit..... But Linares completely PIECES HIM THE **** UP. I mean just totally hauls off on him. Linares dominant UD -- maybe even by shutout, or mid-late stoppage, probably on his fight.

Linares all day every day. Burns doesn't have the pop to crack his glass jaw.

OD quit as soon as the going got tough. You can't say that about Burns.

Why would Burns quit when all he has to do is still be standing at the final bell to rob his opponent of victory?

a truly rollercoaster career he's had. Which to the point... Would it surprise anyone here if he went on a streak again and picked up a belt? 10 years ago if you asked anyone as to whether or not he'd be relevant today theyd probably laugh and not even answer the question.

Reminds me of broner where everyone just expects so much more of him and then sometimes he pulls it off and then other time, htf did that just happen?

Hard to place him h2h, clearly a talent.

I think with Broner though he's a headcase. Linares has had tremendous ethic to come back from such devastating losses. Despite physical flaws(chin) he's been able to bounce back. Broner doesn't have those issues but his attitude out of the ring along with a few losses that have caused a bit of a sparring mentality to develop holding him back. I think Broners been lucky honestly. He's gotten so many close calls that could have and many cases definitely should have gone the other way.
