Ya, I don't think Broner and Linares are an apt comparison. Linares has always had durability issues, but in regards to talent, skill level, mental toughness/resilience, he's leagues above Broner who is truly mentally unstable. Broner is much physically tougher and more durable, but the LARGE majority of his early success was due to a significant size advantage over pretty much all his comp. You'd never see Broner storm back from devastating losses and go on a run like Linares has. And I wouldn't be surprised to see him do it again. Skill wise and talent wise he can potentially beat almost anyone from 135-140.
Safe pick for Linares. Burns' style doesn't trouble Linares. I also see a near shutout for him in this one. Respect to Burns though, always liked him.
Hmm I would like to see a 4 way tourney at 140 between: Linares Broner Khan Gamboa I could see anyone of them taking it. Probably favour a 140 khan over all of them though, Guy has heart, just has to survive.
Linares by KO. He's going to savage him. Linares can be KO'd by large, big punching brawlers who start very quickly in fights. Burns is none of these things.
