    Dan Rafael and Steve Kim said there were stories of Linares having a shaky chin in boxing circles long before he got KO'd. Someone else told a story about Linares getting KO'd cold in sparring against Lonnie Smith Jr. Anyway, here's a statement from Dan Rafael earlier this year...

    Dan, Always thought highly of the talent of Jorge Linares, and believe he just got caught cold in the Salgado fight. Hooking up with Freddie Roach could put his career on a whole different plane. Like him better at 130, but even at 135, can't see him losing to a limited DeMarco, if the fight comes off. Your thoughts?

    I pretty much agree with what you have said, but Linares has a notoriously poor chin from what I have heard about his gym work.

    btw linares suffered a cut in sparring about 2 or 3 weeks ago, was it healed already?

    Blame the pink gloves, DeMarco was probably laughing so hard with every shot Linares threw that he was totally immune to any pain:lol:

    I had money on Demarco, sadly it was a parlay with the second pick being Hopkins over Dawson. Would have won 700 bucks on like a 50 dollar bet too :lol:

    Valero was on Steroids when he fought DeMarco.

    funny thing, after Valero beat DeMarco, Humberto Soto , whom was there at ringside to watch his cousin (DeMarco), challenged Valero to a next fight, but Valero chickened-out and ducked Soto, by vacating that WBC 135lbs belt, leaving Soto to fight replacement-David Diaz, for valero's abandoned belt.
