How is his chin? All 3 of his losses have been by stoppage, so it's not like he's been knocked out cold. I just watched the Salgado fight, and when I saw the first knockdown, I thought, "He went down from THAT?" because the punch didn't even look that hard. The punch looks like it bounces off Linares's gloves, but he falls like a tree anyway.
Its average(for world class). A big puncher can put him down for sure, but i dont think they can immediately put him out. And top of it all, he has a ton of experience now.
In the Salgado fight I remember rumor was that he had been concussed in sparring a few days before. I don' think he was fully recovered from the effects personally.
DeMarco is a fine puncher, so no shame in that since he took some serious punches and he was stopped on his feet. Salgado caught him early, when you get caught that early in the fight is hard to recover, it happens. And against Thompson he took some serious punishment before being stopped. Linares is not LaMotta but he has a decent chin, being cut so easily can bring you out of focus and he can be dropped and stopped but he really improved from those losses so I think he will be fine.
I wonder how many times these types of things occur. Same was said about Chad Dawson and Stevenson flattened him with one punch.
It's okay but I wouldn't say it's decent; he has been down quite a lot throughout his career. Last time was against Mitchell right? He recovered though.
