john's manager is alex morrison who's got by miles the best fighters in scotland at present burns,limond,simpson,hughes and a great talent in carruana,patrick i have watched the fight with volume up and down mate and mathews was boxing his head of at times,ive no need to be biased at all i know what i seen.

 

Well then you are only seeing what you want to see. Are you seriously trying to tell me that Matthews was "boxing Lindsay's head off" in rounds 6, 7, 8 and 9? I must put this fight up on Youtube so you can maybe pinpoint exactly when that was happening!

 

Lindsay was certainly behind against Matthews.

Lindsay may have been behind by 1 round maybe 2 at the very most but he was not getting his head boxed off. Sorry if I don't agree with those who let a commentary team cloud there preception of a fight Beeston. And don't accuse me of nuthugging when the majority of the Brit forum hangs off British fighters like Haye and Froch's nuts for dear life. :hi:

Lindsay was well behind in Mathews fight, but managed to find a way to win, thats what seperates good from average fighters.

 

Live I think I had it 6-2-1 in favour of Matthews...... it wasn't Graham vs Jackson or anything, Foreman vs Moorer perhaps

lindsay has a warm up fight on the mccloskey undercard on a matchroom promotion...so i would say lindsays team will be doing business with matchroom to bring simpson to belfast for december...

 

Just spoke to john he was waiting to hear today about the fight but looks as if its going to be 2moro now before he finds out

 

patrick why would i let a commentator sway my intellegence? i have trained boxers for years from novice to world champions so i think i can make my own judgement calls thank you.and im sure you said martin was winning the fight when he stopped derry now your saying martin may have been a round or two behind? watch it again my freind!

 

No Billy, I said that I had it even going into the last round and that was giving Matthews a round that could have went either way. I can see how some might score it for Matthews by 1 or at the very most 2 rounds as there were close rounds, but whatever way you look at it Matthews was not boxing Lindsay's ears off as you said. I don't know why anyone, even someone with as much experience as you, would let commentators sway their view of a fight but it happens all the time. I don't need to watch it again but I am going to post the fight on Youtube so you can maybe tell me exactly why you have Matthews winning rounds 6-9.

 

i still reckon appleby is better than both and will go further.
