    need to wait and see who wins the purse bids,i think most will bid for this potential clash,if its belfast its belfast,i hope it is coz john will get even greater praise when he wins.

    Wee Simpson is certainly a late bloomer, I thought he was finished a few years back but he turned his whole career around. I believe he is underestimated and would take him to beat Lindsay, and Appleby in a rematch, John is a proper wee warhorse.

    I really hope this fight happens. Simpson is class and deserves a shot at Lindsay and if Lindsay wants to progress then more tough tests like Simpson will no doubt help him out. Hopefully the winner faces Derry Matthews too.

    i agree with you maxallan,derry would be a good oponent for the winner in glasgow ha ha!

    Ah now Billy, Lindsay v Matthews II in Glasgow doesn't make much sense ;)

    Cracking match up and one any fan of British and Irish boxing will be foaming at the mouth over.

    Rather than a rematch with Derry however I think either man would be better served by going after the European title if they win. Both are more than capable of operating at the top of European Featherweight level.
