This is why people criticise ESB and why people inside the game, like Derry, are reluctant to post on here.
maybe derry should choose his words a little more carefully then [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpdBnMuBzpY[/ame]
John to wear lindsay down and stop him in the late rounds he has no other option as theres no way he wins on the scorecards over there. On another note i wonder if the irish fans ar going to behave this time after there disgaceful behaviour when lindsay fought appleby?
what disgraceul behaviour are you banging on about:huh.... i cant remember any... i was there where you there:nono
I dont think this was laughable atall .. what other fighter do u know who has the belt and clearly should win... just always happens to get beat unless its a knock out ?? it is realy unfair... simpson cannot win any fight unless he knocks the guy out or has a stoppage.... the smith fight was terrible judging and how he lost his belt was beyond me... i agree simpson was very slow in starting but he clearly won more rounds.. if u ask me theres far too much politics in boxing now adays... anyway seen simpson lastnight before he left and he looked amazing..... working only with billy nelson now there is significant changes ... he will not leave belfast without that belt trust me... hes gunning for it and he will take lindsay into a war with him.. i rate lindsay but not world class... who has he beaten of any real prospective ?:? seen a huge difference in simpson whole attitude about this fight and if i were you id be betting simpson to stop lindsay... :thumbsup
I hope Simpson wins it but i'll not be biased on this one . Lindsay looks good (skill level ) So does Simpson's tho .His skill looked good in that Dazzo Williams fight man .Good head movement and getting in the pocket .I see this been a war tbh man (both getting hurt).I've not seen Lindsay against anybody like Simpson man style wise man .Appelby Matthews amd Jamie Arthur were all taller ( Simpson shorter )but he was good at getting inside man .I think Simpson will take the fight to Lindsay man and get inside and make it a war .I would go Lindsay decision but I was reading about Simpson there in the paper and it says how he's been training with Billy Nelson and that plus he's been on the weight for a while so i'll go with Simpson to win a decision man or maybe even getting Lindsay stopped on a cut like Truscott and Morris 1.
I think if Simpson's been on the weight for a while man I think his power'll be there man plus he fights better going into the lions den .This was a quality ko man [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK_hyO6thYU[/ame]
Can't wait for this, will take a trip down the bookies tomorrow and see what odds I can get on a late stoppage for Simpson. :bbb
Domestic FOTY i think. I really do believe if Simpson gets his way he will engage Lindsay in a war. The Atmosphere will provide all that's needed to make it a special occasion. Derry is right he was outboxing Lindsay that night. Wouldn't say a masterclass but he was winning and doing a good job until he got hit by sweetest of left hooks. Lindsay is a nice mover and picks his shots well when allowed to fight at his own pace. He likes to be in control and dictate things. It's important for Simpson to move in behind a solid jab and high hands while taking head off line and feinting way in just to draw a lead from Lindsay. Lindsay's hand placements aren't productive against straight punches when used in combinations. If i was Simpson i'd now and then throw a lead left hook not one with any intent just to take eye line and then shoot a right down seem. Lindsay moves back in straight line. Lindsay will look to use lateral movement and counter Simpson and then lead off at times and keep things mid-ring and put punches together. Basically just do his thing and look to work body of Simpson and loop shots around the high held guard. I just think he's not been effectively pressured and i think Simpson is a real steady Eddie when he pressures. Nothing relentless but it's enough to keep you game and i think he will enjoy peroids of success. The easy choice is to go Lindsay UD 115-112 but i wouldn't be shocked if Simpson takes control after the midway point and we end up watching a enthralling end to our Domestic year and see Simpson re-united with his Lonsdale Belt!
total bollocks. and regards the score cards, if simpson beats lindsay well and looks good doing so and then gets a decision against it, a belfast crowd will boo that bull****.
video of today's weigh in, John looking in great shape come on Simpson!!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW8vQhPhPeQ[/ame]
