I got my RING MAG 2010 BOXING ALMANAC, in the back it has the lineage going back to the beginning for all weights, fun to follow for a minute but it just gets confusing after a while. Wouldn't it be nice to trace a all titles back to the beginning? One title. One weight.
I'd like to see what the heavyweight lineage looks like for the past 25 years or so... can you post the names?
Lennox Lewis > Shannon Briggs > George Foreman > Michael Moorer > Evander Holyfield > Riddick Bowe > Evander Holyfield > James Douglas > Mike Tyson > Michael Spinks
That's what I thought. Can someone refresh my memory with the whole Shannon Briggs scenario? Wasn't he the champ without having a major belt or something like that? :huh Sorry for my ignorance, I just wasn't a big fan back in those days.
Briggs "beat" Foreman when Foreman already vacated his WBC and IBF belts. Since he never lost in the ring, he was the de facto champion.
