Does anyone care about lineage in MMA or is I rendered meaningless by the dominance of the UFC?

Is there a website that traces a consensus lineage or is there various disputes and debates?

With boxing being fractured some do still think lineage worth tracing but is this the case with MMA?

In my opinion, the UFC has rendered lineage useless at the moment. The only true lineal champion I can think of is GSP. He retired as champ, & if he went to another organisation, & got beat, the guy that beat him would be lineal champion of MMA overall. Providing the fight is at 170 pounds.

I don't believe it holds any relevance in MMA

when Fedor was in his prime and champion, would he have been considered the man more than his UFC counterpart?
