You have several organizations (IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO) and I know of another that will start up very shortly. I already talked to them but they told me not to say anything yet.
You've missed one more champion, buddy. So: Douglas, Foreman, Holmes, Bowe, Tyson, Moorer and Rahman 7 different lineal HW champs.
Damn, what was wrong with me yesterday? I'm slacking. Yep, 7 for Holyfield! He beat more Linear HW Champs than anybody... give him the credit he deserves.
Big Ken was only the WBC Champ. He was handed the belt after Leon Spinks decided to fight a rematch with Ali instead of make a defense vs. Norton. Norton went 0-3 in HW World Title Fights but he did beat HW Champ Muhammad Ali 1 out of 3 (many people feel he should have won at least twice though).
I'm not going to look the answer up. I'm brainstorming... I know Elmer Ray and Rex Layne both had wins over Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott.
i know that mate, thats why i suggested his name:good i thought the question was who beat the least HW champs and you cant get less than none
Tommy Loughran beat Braddock, Baer and Sharkey (Plus some sources have him beating Tunney) Tom Sharkey beat Corbett & Fitzsimmons Jack O'Brien beat Fitzsimmons & Burns Mike Schreck beat Hart & Burns Jim Maloney beat Sharkey & Carnera Larry Gains beat Schmeling & Carnera Johnny Risko beat Sharkey & Baer Ernie Schaaf beat Baer & Braddock Al Ettore beat Braddock & Walcott Rex Layne beat Charles & Walcott Elmer Ray beat Charles & Walcott Joey Maxim beat Walcott & Patterson David Tua beat Moorer & Rahman Oliver McCall beat Holmes & Lewis John Ruiz beat Holyfield & Rahman
I am not so sure whether or not these numbers do stack up. Bob Fitzsimmons, from memory, claimed over 300 prize fights, with his only fair losses to Jeffries II and Lang. (i dont think he counted fights he thought he won but didnt like the o brien fight or fights where he took a dive like Hall or was injured or didnt train like johnson. I feel pretty confident that Fitzsimmons has more Wins and more KOs than both Charles or Carnera, although with the poor record keeping in those early days, it is difficult to tell.
