For once, a title that cannot be attributed to Tyson, Ali or Louis.

Who holds this honour? Let's include Tunney, because while he only spent a few years in the heavyweight division this is a thread about durability in general rather than just durability at the heavyweight level.

Curiously, Lewis was only knocked down twice, just like Rocky Marciano (I think; I'm not an expert on Marciano's early career because I don't like to watch his style in those fights).

As Champ or thruout entire career? Bowe was not knocked down in any of his "Lineal" World title Fights. Bowe is also one of only 3 Linear HW Champs who were never stopped... Tunney and Marciano or the others.

Quite possibly. But wasn't Gene Tunney only down once, in his second fight vs. Dempsey?

Official knockdowns only. We could go on forever debating what were slips, what were knockdowns etc.

Than tie between Tunney and Jeffries.

Vitali Klitschko if you want to argue the Sanders fight was for the new lineage.

I cant remember off hand, but I am fairly certain that he would have been thrown or taken a knee quite a bit in the Kilrain Sullivan marathon, that that went for so many rounds, with a round ending when one fighter takes a knee. Also, didnt Charley Mitchell knock him down once?

Nope, if we're including their entire careers, as you said we were, then Charles holds that distinction with 30, I believe. 15 of those coming in back to back fights with Bivins and Marshall at Middleweight.
