This probably sounds stupid and it may just be my bud and alcohol induced state... BUT I think there is a potential link between the two. Look at two of Freddue Roachs fighters. Pacquiao has MASSIVE calfs compared to his opponents and he took Cottos shots with ease. Khan, when joining roach was made to shift his muscle mass from his uppr body to his legs. Since then he has not been wobbled. It does kinda make sense, since when a fighter is buzzed his legs are what give it away. At the end of the day, you only get knockd down when your legs cant hold you up. I think Khan's future career will prove this one way or the other
Umm, Khan hasn't been hit since. I think neck thickness is more important. Urango has legs like bambi and holds a shot well. Look at guys like Hagler/Toney, massive thick necks and skulls.
Its a well know fact that, a strong neck and trap muscles....... Work like shock absorbers..!! There are other factors into taking a punch, but a big strong neck....will not do you any harm.
