Butler won his bout last night beating a 12-0 opponent despite coming off a 6 year layoff. So what's next for him? A Mc Call rematch? A bout with Tommy Morrison? Wlad Klitshko is probably quaking in his boots knowing a puncher like Butler is back.

Aparently so when a 42 year old fighter on a six year layoff can defeat a 12-0 prospect.

The division isn't that weak; they just say that because the Klitchkos are so much better than everyone else. When Roy Jones dominated everyone easily; he was fighting in weak divisions. How many of Roy Jones easy wins went on to win world titles after he made them look like a joke?

When a division is exciting; it means that no one is that great to stand out and dominate. Yes more exciting, but not necessarily stronger.

He did not beat a prospect at all! Look into their records before you make a comment. The guys best win was a decicion over a 4-2 guy, who is now 4-6. Most of his losses are 1 round ko's, except his close decision loss to this stiff that Lionel Butler squeaked out SD against. Don't look to close into this.

Like every other sport; boxers today are bigger, better, and faster than they were 10, 20, 30, & 40 years ago!

Ah come on the man beat everyone they put in front of him including a 2-0 boxer, until Lionel Butler six years out of retirement came out and put an end to his 0. :yep

The heavyweights today are so bad that guys that were journeyman clubfighters in their prime like Lionel Butler make comebacks in their middle age , and actually may be succesful. Look at Shannon Briggs beating the dismal Liakovitch for a belt. No way Shannon would have ever won anything a decade before. Fights like Klitchko-Arreola are a step in the right direction , but there is a long way to go for an era like the 60's and 70's . Too bad the odds are against that ever happening at all.

12-0 prospect is a little misleading...

Fred Kassi is a Stacy Goodson product, whose previous twelve opponents had a combined 18-48-1 record. :!:

man please...vitali is the only fighter in todays hw division that would have been top 5 in most eras.....ruslan is the top fighter over the klitties and he isn't very good...valuev sux..james tony is hardly ever in shape to be competitive...

The heavyweigth division is in the bottom 2 in terms of depth and how weak it is...when an old holyfield can contend with one of ur top guys (valuev) than u know ur division is weak...

And yes the hw division is garbage in comparison with many other divisions.

fighters of today are not faster than the fighters 10 years ago...the 90's hw's had some decent speed and neither klittie, ruslan, povetkin, nor valuev have much speed and those r ur top guys!

Chambers has some ok speed but nothing great for a hw! And ali was stupid fast compared to the hw fighters of today!

Puh-leez. Butler wasn't that good in his "prime." I can't imagine how awful he is now.

I use to like Lionel "Butthole" Butler back when he was kayoing bums and stiffs on the USA network in the early to middle 90s....... He was an animal.... However, he was a slob who jacked off a lot and suffered from Coke useage and poor diet.......... No shame in losing to Lenny Lewis in 1995 on HBO, but Butler could've been in better shape and tried a bit harder...... Christ, Ol' Butler has gotta be in his ealy forties now..... If he can get his weight down to the 240s, he'll be alright...... He can still make a buck or two by facing "Hand-Picked" dudes and sparring with top contenders......
