Super Flyweight might not have been a good fit for Rose. His weight cuts seemed to become huge and draining, as evidenced by him fighting at 130 and 135 at times after the Olivares loss.

My gut feeling here was to pick Rose, to win a decision in an interesting, skilled technical bout.

The thing is, though, Rose was a pretty inconsistent fighter, even when he won. And his results above 112lbs were spotty, to say the least. Roman, at the worst, gives him trouble, and may beat him depending on the day.

Still, Rose at his absolute pomp was a monstrous technical boxer, with added size. That Harada performance was simply a marvel. Thinking more, Rose would win by decision more likely than not.

Two criminally underrated boxers. Roman was more consistent overall but Rose got the bigger scalps and at his absolute best has an edge. Close, great fight all the way.
