I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe. I was honestly thinking somewhere in the 25-40k range MAX. Anything 6 figures is mind boggling.
I'd be betting they didn't sell more than 300 ppv streams and what was the live gate - 800 to 1200? Maths wouldn't even go remotely close.
Live stream was at 842, at $9.40. Epicenter have that as a stat on their page for the event. If that is the only local stream then there well may have been a similar amount for the US stream.
spot on, he gave it a go and had he got the win from this bout he would have been facing one of the klit brothers, like the lotto, you got to be in it to win it, Alex can hold his head up high knowing he took no short cuts and was one hell of an exciting fighter to watch. With some improvment in his defence i think he can bounce back from this defeat and return as a much better all round boxer. What he has achived in a short period of time for his experiance is quite an achivment when you think about it. Wish we had more blokes like Alex fighting and putting it all on the line. tip my hat to Alex and his team.
Sounds like they will be bankrupt if they had to shell out $260K plus 4 airfares for Johnson and his crew.
i went, reckon there would have been 1000 to 1500 fans,$50 standin $ioo sittin and dont know wat tables were, hard to tell how many, had a fair charge
Well Kegsy stated that the $260K figure seemed BS so I suppose you think he's also never been to a live fight Leon.
