water-----its what you drink before and after road work, when you wake up etc.......its the staple of any boxers liquid diet
milk---I am trying to gain weight, milk is good for that.whole milk not that skim ****
    3. juices????----ok guys this is where my interrogation begins
what kind of juices are the best and what combination of them is most optimum
4.green teas/ginsing etc--------------what are the benifits of these, if any?
    5. energy drinks--------------good or not
    6. beer-------obviously you dont want to drink this before or during a workout, but when you are done for the day???
My former coach, who trained world champs like kirk johnson, Ike Ibeabuchi and quincey taylor told me that as long as you arent tanking up on it, beer was ok, definitly better than soda, because you sweat it out, and said that when he was in training for one fight, he drank a little?
do you agree or disagree with this?

well guys its 7pm and I got to roll out , do road work, dummy work and weave rope drills plus build my heavy bag stand or start on it, so I will probably see yall tonight or tomorrow
guys, I appriciate all the feedback on training and will try to do ESB proud on the 9th
Mark, good luck and hope we give the fans a hell of a brawl in august

You used to train with Curtis Cokes?

I think beer probably is better than soda, but it's no good if you're trying to shed weight (I know this doesn't apply to you).

At the moment I'm trying to drink lots and lots of water.

    I agree.

Energy drinks are good if your blood sugar drops very low, but otherwise, meh.

    Agreed.

You don't need juice it's just useless calories of sugar. You're much better off eating the actual fruit. Stick to loads of water and have your milk too, that's fine.

Beer should be reserved to one or two on the weekends. Believe me, it will slow you down. It stays in your system longer than you think and if you are training hard you'll feel it for up to a week. Just lay off the beer until after your fight.

Green tea is a good antioxidant and the caffeine buzz won't make you jittery and crash.

Energy drinks, stay away from that crap you don't need it. Green tea is enough.

So water, milk, tea and more water. :thumbsup

Everyone on here knows how to sweat beer from soda. If you do not know now you never will.
